HORIZONTAL/VERTICAL PLATEN GRINDER

One grinder for a variety of grinding modes!
The U.S. Model 507 affords you the production advantages of abrasive belt grinding and in combination, the added capability of traditional grinding and buffing methods.

Vertical Platen Grinding
In the vertical position, the Model 507 permits the rough or finish grinding of work requiring flat and square finishes.  The adjustable worktable with single lever clamp permits 15o up and 45o down tilt adjustment.  An optional table with 120o protractor is also available.

Horizontal Platen Grinding
In the horizontal position, both platen grinding and contact wheel grinding operations are performed.  The Model 507 provides production flexibility for both flat and contoured surfaces on a wide variety of part configurations.

Quick Setup and Belt Change
Repositioning from vertical, horizontal or any in-between position is simple, fast and easy.  The hinged guard door permits access for periodic abrasive belt changes.  The unique tensioning design and external belt tracking control facilitate belt replacement and final adjustment.
